Galway traditional Irish music session
This free traditional Irish music session takes place in The Western Hotel bar in Galway City Center, at 9.30pm every Thursday. The session is well established having been running weekly for 6 years.
This is not a formal music session. Nobody is “on stage” or miked up, and anyone can join in (so bring your instrument). We play mostly dance tunes (reels, jigs, hornpipes…), but also other slower tunes, and often songs, and indeed (sean nos) dancing. We welcome folk tunes from other cultures, everything from bluegrass, gypsy, cajun, breton, blues,…
Come along to listen or play. For further information: phone Michael at 086-8361912, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Use the map below for directions to the Western Hotel.
